Worship is important to us.  It is a time for us to gather and solidify our bond with God and one another. It offers us an opportunity to welcome outsiders into our home.  Therefore we offer a worship experience that is authentic and meaningful and music filled.

In-person Sunday Worship is here!

Notice as of September 5, 2021 worship service will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook.  If you need help with either of these ways to watch SOV worship please reach out for assistance.
Please continue to follow these guidelines:
     * Masks will be worn while inside the church building.
     * Follow the instructions of the ushers as you are seated at the beginning of service and again as they assist you to leave the sanctuary.
     * There are no printed bulletins, words and music are on the screens, feel free to bring you own bulletin if you wish.
     * Church building opens at 9:30am
     * Please do not congregate in the narthex, we ask that you visit with others outside.
Even though mask requirements are changing in many places, we will continue to wear masks. WE at SOV want everyone to feel welcome, including our youngest members who have not yet been able to be vaccinated.
The worship service will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook.

Weekly Advent Devotional

Did you ever consider that YOU are a “House for the Holy?” That’s right. Your life-your very being-is a place where hope, peace, joy, and love are housed. At Christmas, we remember that Jesus was born into a simple stable because there was no room in The Inn. So no matter how simple you believe yourself, or your home, or your life to be, you are a container for the Holy, a place where Divine Light can shine into the dark comers of this world. You have a part to play in this pageant we call “life” in this community. You are sacred. You are worthy. You belong. We hope the weekly devotions will open the doors of your heart, mind, and soul, and offer you hope, peace, joy, and love. Come and rest, get some peace, light a candle, and reflect.

Although Consecrations Sunday is over, there is still time to make your pledge to support our church and its missions and ministries for 2022. Please bring in or mail in your pledge card so that we celebrate our gifts to the church together.

Communion Sunday

Pastor Effie will be offering communion during worship via Zoom, normally on the first Sunday of each month. If you would like to participate, you can pick up some grape juice and some kind of bread which she will bless during worship. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Effie.
